Back in April of this year, we started covering the accelerated land movement in Rancho Palos Verdes which ultimately led to the closure of the iconic Wayfarer's Chapel.
Since then, the grounds have undergone a massive project to save as much of the iconic chapel as possible before the ground becomes too unstable. As of mid August, the disassembly is nearly complete shy of the bell tower. However, that is now on the way down. The tower was scheduled to commence disassembly in mid July, but likely had setbacks due to accelerated movement in the area. The accelerated movement has caused the city to make repairs to PV Drive South nearly every 2 weeks.
